steam baths
Already at the ancient Roman times steam baths were a central part of spas, i.e. Thermal resorts. Depending upon the manner of use and various equipment, there are numerous types of steam baths – to mention the ones that are frequently used:
CALDARIUM
Best known and most important steam bath which due to large quantity of humidity and high temperature from 42-45°c has the extremely healing effect on the body, and especially on respiratory system.
They are made of special plastic which has a feature of simple maintenance and cleaning until, recently, it has been frequently constructed with building plates with finishing either in stone or ceramic tiling.
The booths may have heated benches, with water fountains and various effects.
AROMARIUM
The manufacture is the same as with caldarium, with a difference of using the dosers of aromas and herbs. Temperature is 40-42°c. The combination of steam and fragrances gives a special therapeutic effect for respiratory system. With inhaling the lavender, eucalyptus or cammomile, the entire organism goes to the process of mental relaxation.
SALTH BATH
The manufacture is the same as with caldarium, with a difference of adding dosers of salt water with steam. The opinion of salt being a big help with vitalizing effect on the whole body, was always present. The beneficial effects of fragranced herbs can be always used here.
